Relentless

A fantastic start to the series and introduction to the world! Sara's character is strong and consistent throughout as her world expands. Though she makes mistakes, her intentions are good which just drives Nikolas up the wall ;) A go-to favorite!

Such a great coming of age read, I was captured from the beginning and it got harder and harder for me to put my phone or iPad down. The characters are interesting with a lot of background making the reader able to slip into their story and want to be a part of it. The supernatural aspect of this book is easy to accept and not totally scary or corny or even comical. Anyone who’s into the supernatural would enjoy this book thoroughly. I would recommend this series to everyone. I would submit… of photo of me with this book/series but I prefer digital, less clutter.

Honestly one of my favourite series!! I love the writing style, the characters, and the world Karen has created. I came across this series in 2020 during the beginning of Covid, I can't count how many times I have re-read these books and listened to the audio book. Seriously 10/10 and highly recommend reading it.

Okay where to start with this book, first off, it was TOTALLY WICKED! just imagine that kid from the incredibles bc that is spot on. Yeah it's AWESOME. I've read this book SO many times now & I love it more each time. But I know that just reading that it was awesome isn’t necessarily going to help you decide so I'll give you a basic summary but honestly JUST READ THE BOOK! Anywho, this book has everything a paranormal book needs: Vampires, Werewolves, Fae, Mohri Warriors (half demon/half hum…an - a super strong race of people created to keep the Humans safe). Great start! The story surrounds Sara,17, who found her father dead as a young girl - & learns that it was not a natural death (but caused by a vampire). Sara starts digging into the supernatural world learning everything she can to find out the truth of her tragic past,whilst fighting to keep control of the "beast" inside her. But through all this Sara is not the only one busy, unbeknownst to her she is being hunted down by a sadistic Vampire - who might have the answers she seeks Will Sara put her friends & family in danger to seek the truth? Brought into a world she thought she understood, but soon finds that world is shattering all around her We then have sexy, broody Nikolas enter scenes & to say her life is going to change massively is an understatement. He’s a little bossy lol. I won't give much away but basically a vampire attacks Sara & she is saved by, of course, the man himself. yeah nothing is the same after this...Nikolas has now taken it upon himself to be her own personal body guard. Naturally we'd think damn this girl is lucky but he's not always all charm, there's this certain darkness to him, one Sara finds herself drawn to Karen has done an exceptional job of creating this magical world & has an incredible ability of making you fall in love with the characters, almost like you're making friends with them yourself! This series is definitely one of my favourites & a must read!

Karen Lynch has quickly become my favorite author! She takes you into these incredible worlds and is a great escape. Anytime I look for a new book, she is at the top of my search. Now that I have read all of her books, I am trying to patiently wait for her next series! She has a wonderful gift and am grateful that she shares it with the world!

I've had this book for a while and I didn't give it a second glance until yesterday and I'm so glad I did. This book was awesome. I definitely recommend it.

This is one of my favourite book series of all time. If you love real world fantasy – Supernatural creatures written in a new light – Intense scenarios – Risk it all friendships – Loveable characters – & baddies you will hate then I highly recommend checking out this series. Quotes I adored “When you light a candle, you also cast a shadow.” “Sometimes I thought of us as a pair of damaged bookends. We both had our flaws but we belonged together even if there was always something between… us, keeping us apart.” “Compassion and kindness are powers unto themselves if wielded correctly.” Sara What I love most about Sara is her character development. She starts out closed off, secretive, fiercely stubborn and independent to a fault. As time goes on in book one she gradually sees that she’s not alone, she can trust those around her and she can depend on others. I can understand why she dug her heels in so deep, and why she was reluctant to accept any help offered to her. She grew up knowing about the real world, and she grew up in that alone but when she does accept that she’s no longer on her own, it’s a beautiful thing. Nikolas That man is the sunshine and grump trope all on his lonesome. When it comes to him you have no idea if you’re going to get Nikolas the man, or Nikolas the Mohiri warrior. His facial expressions are always on point. I love both sides of Nikolas equally. I also really love seeing the tentative friendship he has with Chris, for a warrior who usually works alone he sure does play well with others, sort of. Side characters There’s a lot of incredible characters who help shape this story and I absolutely love the different relationship Sara has with each of them. No one feels placed just for the sake of placement, every single character has a value and purpose and I love how they all flow together to create this wonderful story.

I have literally read this series about 3 times! I truly couldn't put it down. Hands down the best series for me yet.

Relentless is one of my favorite series. I love it. Whenever I’m in a reading slump, I can always go back to this series and just feel happy. If that makes sense :) I recommend it to all my friends, always. The characters and the world are just awesome.

Something exciting around every turn with this series. Absolutely love it.

Merci pour ce que vous m’avez apporté, même si pour vous cela ne paraît rien, pour moi cela signifie tout.

“Relentless” surprised me a lot - simply due to the fact that I had absolutely no expectations for the book. I didn't know Karen Lynch as an author - which will now change - so I wasn't expecting anything special, apart from a nice, short YA fantasy story. But the book unexpectedly captivated me - I just couldn't put it down, it was that exciting. It was also much more extensive than I had assumed; I loved that I could slowly dive into Sara's world and get to know the characters. If you are a… fan of good YA fantasy, you shouldn't miss out on “Relentless” - I certainly can't wait to read the next volume.

I love this book. I re-read the series every year and it is my comfort book. The main character is a strong, independent girl, who knows when to ask for help and is not whiny at all. If you haven’t read this book I suggest you give it a try and fall into the story that is full of action, friendship, and surprises!
